Creating a new page

The easiest way to create a new page is to type the desired page name at the end of the URL in the location bar at the top of your browser. Hit return and you'll see a message that says that this page doesn't exist yet. Follow the link to create the page.

You'll see that the page is automatically given a title that corresponds to the page name, but you can change that. Add content to the page and click Save. Later you can come back to the page and click Edit to add or change content.

Once you've created a page, make sure to create a link to the page somewhere else on the site, as appropriate, so that viewers can find your page.

Editing a page

To edit a page, click the Edit link near the lower right corner of the page. Make changes to the page by adding or revising content. Use the toolbar to format elements of the page using headers, bold or italic text, bulleted lists, and so on. Also add links and images, if applicable.

You might want to click Preview to check your changes, and if everything looks like you want it to, then click Save.

Creating a link to another page

To create a link to an existing page, first copy the page name (by which I mean the name that appears at the end of the URL; for example, the page name for this page is: start). Then click on the Page Link Wizard tool and paste the page name into the first line. Type the text you want to appear as a hyperlink on the Anchor line (such as the title of the page). Insert the code and use Preview to check to see if the link works by opening it in a new tab or window. If it does, then click Save. If it doesn't work, check your formatting and try again.

Creating a link to a URL

To create a link to a web page outside of the wiki, first copy the full URL (including the http:// section). Then click on the URL link Wizard tool and paste the URL into the first line. Type the text you want to appear as a hyperlink on the Anchor line (such as the title of the page). Insert the code and use Preview to check to see if the link works by opening it in a new tab or window. If it does, then click Save. If it doesn't work, check your formatting and try again.
